The Birds of America
Open for pre-order! Delivery in July.
John James Audubon's The Birds of America was printed between 1827 and 1838, and it contains 435 life-size watercolors of North American birds, all reproduced from hand-engraved plates. A seminal work, it is considered the benchmark of wildlife illustration. Often cited as “the most expensive book of all time,” only 120 known intact copies exist. With this finely crafted, clothbound, large-scale re-edition we put this piece of history in the hands of lovers of birds, books, wildlife, and history, for many decades to come.
